The lawn care service I provide is designed to keep weeds to a minimum. It is impossible to eliminate weeds 100 percent but with my service of weed control, lawn fertilization and combined efforts from general lawn maintenance your lawn will be on its way to picture perfect in no time. 

Every lawn contains an army of seeds waiting to settle in and make themselves at home. Seeds blow in, get carried in on soles of shoes, and are dropped by birds. It is important to have a prevention plan as well as a cure. 

One of the best methods of weed prevention is properly mowed grass. Mowed high, your turf shades the soil, keeping the sun and heat from reaching the weed seeds. Thick turf also helps by denying water and sun to the weeds that they need to thrive. 

Herbicides work by being absorbed into the weed, moving through the leaves and into the roots. Depending on the type of weed and how actively it's growing, this can happen in a few hours or may take a few days.  Remember that broadleaf weed controls can ONLY work on weeds that are presently and actively growing at the time of treatment. Because new weeds blow in and settle, regular lawn weed control treatments are required.

On that note, of taking time to be absorbed, mowing and watering should be avoided immediately after lawn treatment. We recommend waiting at least 2 hours before watering and 24 to mow.
